They then talk you through and take you to the event viewer which will always show some warnings and errors. Thses errors and warnings do come up as yellow and red items in the system or application event viewer. They then say they need to connect to your machine to fix this. They ask for remote access to your machine and then gain access to your pc to obtain personal information. They also ask for a payment to fix the computer and ask you to join for 1, 2 or 3 years.

Our advice is to hang up on them or ask how they got your number as your pc will not send personal information to them. You can advise the local authorities of the call if you wish. Give us a call if you have any concerns.
